Seems you like to play hide and seek,
To check from afar in having a peek,
Our lifestyles and social circles differ,
Even though we stick to one another,
You prefer your way to be in control,
Only a leap of Faith can keep us whole.

Work and Play
Keep up with a front,
For the sake of status,
To be at the forefront,
Pushing for the latest.
But chill deep inside,
Seek pleasures of life,
Sway by others to side,
Take a choice to strive.
But behind the curtain,
Having a life so private,
Choose what is certain,
See the one for comfort.

Onward
Moving forward requires courage,
Let go of doubt from holding back,
Be clear of fear to begin a new stage,
Trust the process to be on right track.

Spacing
Thy can study well from what is known,
Learn from exploring what is unknown,
Maintaining pace together to be sown,
Making space in growing on one’s own.

Lost Chance
A turning point has come to pass,
To decide what to do from here on.
As time goes by till nothing lasts,
If only she can be chanced upon.

Hopeful
Really sensing her loneliness inside,
Amid the freedom enjoyed in her life,
Having a firmness that can split a tide,
Wondering about having her as a wife.
Though she’s adamant in her thinking,
Can be compliant to consider options,
Smart enough to know what’s missing,
To ponder among the various notions.
She puts a solid front on the outside,
Adhere on her principles to stand for,
But she can also be soft on the inside,
Be swayed for the right reasons galore.
After all that have been said and done,
In expressing how I felt on that matter,
Hope that one day her heart can be won,
Till come a time that we will be together.

Heartache
In a moment of anguish,
I shunned the limelight,
From social media fetish,
To set heart and mind right.
Due to a person long ago,
That I have feelings for,
Be silent much to my woe
She sulked once before.
Emailed her to reconnect,
Without a reply in return.
Maybe her way to reject,
Leaving my heart to yearn.
Only left to do is move on,
From a clinging past love,
Into oblivion to be so gone,
Unless reunited from above.

Recount
Stunning lady walked by in stride,
Just a familiar face so clear to see,
Emerged old feelings awaken inside,
Simply froze as she walked away free.
So I called out to her then by name,
She halted so abruptly with a smile,
Such recall can fire up past flame,
She spoke softly later to sound fragile.
Stopped the chat too soon as a regret,
I should talked even more for a while,
Even ask for her number before I fled,
Should get closer to call her with a dial.

Near But Far
Once someone likes you,
Will attempt to get near,
Giving an obvious clue,
Try not lose out of fear.
Despite of the feeling,
Not showing it upfront,
Hide instead of dealing,
Avoid from being blunt.
Looking you up if can,
About what’s of interest,
To know more as a fan,
Check out whatever best.
Can’t get close in the end,
Without alerting the other,
Seems to be a likely trend,
In trying to not be a bother.
If that’s the way to be so,
Then things can’t get far,
Blame oneself as the foe,
By not reaching for the star.

Glare
A wide-eyed look is a stare,
Just a fixed gaze so to speak,
But an angry stare is a glare,
Enough to feel the prick.
Someone that I met in a train,
Did so with me due to a sulk,
Her boyfriend saw me as a pain,
Done too before so just my luck.
Not good when being glared at,
Likely my fault in the first place,
Simply oblivious on how I act,
Be mindful so as to save face.
